Allows the caster to control undead creatures.
|Spell Level: 7||Rarity: Common|
|Schools (Mage): Necromancy, Deathmaster|
|Components: V, S, M (a small piece of bone, and a small piece of raw meat)|
|Range: 20 yards||Casting Time: 1 round|
|Duration: 3d4 rds. + 1 rd/level||Saving Throw: Special|
|Target: 1d6 undead creatures, up to 1 HD/level|
The caster selects a point within range, and creatures are affected in order of their distance from that point, until the caster has controlled a number of Hit Dice of undead equal to their level, or until they have controlled 1d6 undead (whichever comes first). Undead with less than 3 HD are automatically affected, and those with higher HD are allowed a saving throw vs. spell to negate it. Each creature required to make the check counts against the HD limit of the spell.
Controlled undead can be commaned by the caster's voice, independent of their language. Controlled undead do not attack the spellcaster, even if the spellcaster can't command them. At the end of the spell, the undead revert to their normal behaviors, and those that are not mindless will remember the caster's control.
