This spell must be cast upon the alchemical mixture that will become the philosopher's stone -- the precise formula must be discovered in play, and is determined by the DM. Once the caster has learned the forumla, they must create the mixture within a philosopher's egg, and, when the mixture is prepared, cast the enchant an item spell upon it. Thus prepared, the caster uses this spell, which, over the course of the casting time, turns the mixture into a philosopher's stone. Once transmuted, the caster must use permenancy to stablize the item. The philosopher's egg is not consumed in the casting, and may be used again.
