Snow serpent

Snow serpents are furry, snake-like creatures actually more closely related to minks and foxes than snakes. Nevertheless, they are legless and fanged, so they resemble a snake closely.

Exceptionally stealthy, a snow serpent lies still until prey approaches, and then strikes with serrated teeth and corrosive breath.

The pelt of a snow serpent -- warm, water-repellant, and quite beautiful -- can be very valuable.
